History of the Steel Valley Cluster

The cluster was started in 1990 when Beaver County Kennel Club and Columbiana County Kennel Club joined with Mahoning-Shenango Kennel Club at their show grounds to hold three shows in August. The Canfield Fairgrounds had been the site for MSKC's Sunday show for many years. That same weekend, BCKC was holding their Saturday show in Pennsylvania. CCKC moved from their date in June to the Friday of the new Cluster weekend. The SVC, in its current form, was realized in 1992 when Fort Steuben Kennel Association joined this growing event by holding their show on Thursday.

Thank you for your interest in the Steel Valley Cluster Dog Show. At this time we are waiting for new information relevent to the upcoming shows. As the information becomes available this page will be updated, so please check back.The show for 2008 will be held Wednesday July 30, 2008 through Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the Canfield Fairgrounds, Canfield, Ohio

Hotel - RV Information

The Canfeild OH and surrounding areas have a nice selection of Pet Friendly Hotels within driving distance of the Show grounds. As always, we try to provide up to date information, but you MUST contact the hotel and confirm the rates and restrictions, as everything is subject to change.

We also offer on site camping for those of you with Recreational Vehicles

Golf Cart Rentals

Golf carts are available for rent on the fairgrounds for your convenience with ADVANCED REGISTRATION, Privately owned carts must be registered with the cluster to be used on the fairgrounds during this show.

Events Associated with the Show

There are a wide variety of events on the show grounds in addition to the all breed shows, Breed Specialties, Clinics, Matches and even dinners are hosted by different clubs during the Cluster weekend

Transportation to the Fairgrounds

There are two international airports that are fairly close to the show. One, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is 70 miles Northwest of the show and the other, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is 50 miles Southeast. Both are served by major car rental companies. We are providing links below to their websites. Please contact your travel agent for further information. Also, Southern Park Limo, Inc. is a local airport shuttle service that will transport caged dogs to/from Cleveland and Pittsburgh airports. You can contact them at (800) 528-9663.
